Do you require a card number before attending to do work?2019-06-16T17:30:55+01:00

We don’t take your card number prior to attending to do some work.
We don’t want to hold your card details or make you feel vulnerable – especially before you have ever met us.
You are probably feeling fairly vulnerable at the time of calling us (possibly locked out of your house etc).
You don’t need to be asked for card details prior to us attending, but we would like payment once the work is completed 🙂

Do I have to pay as soon as the job is completed?2019-06-16T17:24:15+01:00

If you are a residential customer we require payment to be made when we have completed the work.

If you are a business owner, landlord or letting agent, we will usually require payment as soon as the first job is completed.
Subsequent work can be invoiced after successful payment of the first job.

Can I do a bank transfer to pay?2019-06-16T17:19:15+01:00

Yes you can.
We can give you our business account sort code and account number for you to make the payment to.

How can I pay?2019-11-24T12:26:17+01:00

We accept a few different ways to pay.
You can pay by cash, card, cheque or bank transfer.

Out of those payment methods we prefer card, but whatever is easiest for you.

We can also write a written receipt for your records.

Card machine

We prefer card payments as we don’t have to go to the bank to put cash or cheques in. We have a mobile card machine that prints a card receipt for you.

Do you accept card payments?2019-11-24T12:28:55+01:00

We accept card payments and prefer this method of payment.
We don’t charge any extra for paying by card and you get a card receipt from the card machine.
We can also write a written receipt for your records.

It is also possible to take a card payment over the phone if you can’t be at a property (landlord etc).

Card payments are the easiest for us. Our business bank account charges us for putting in cash and cheques and we have to make a journey to the bank to do that – so cards are far easier for us.

Can I call you at any time?2019-06-16T17:03:53+01:00

We are 24 hour. We will always answer the phone – even in the middle of the night.
We are here to provide a service to the residents of Gloucestershire and sometimes that means attending jobs in the early hours of the morning.
If you need our help and advice at any time, just give us a call and we can attend to gain entry to a property where keys have been lost / stolen – or unlock doors that the key isn’t working in etc.
We have a lot of stock on the van and can replace like for like locks at any time of the day or night.

Is the quoted price valid for a long time?2019-06-16T16:56:38+01:00

Any price quoted is valid for six months. After six months we would have to check to see if we are now being charged more for the parts needed within the quoted work description.
Our suppliers seem to be increasing prices regularly as the cost of metal goes up, so do the cost of the locks we buy.
Different suppliers use different distribution networks, so we still may be able to quote the same price six months later, but we’d have to check.

Do I need British Standards locks for house insurance?2019-06-16T17:07:26+01:00

Unfortunately this isn’t a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer.
House insurance companies seem very different with what they require.
Some don’t have this as a requirement at all, while others require you to have a British Standard approved lock fitted to each external door.

Unfortunately you’ll have to either trawl through the small print of your insurance company, or pick up the phone to ask them what your policy requires.

How much will it cost to come and fit a lock that I have bought from a shop (or online)?2019-06-16T17:09:01+01:00

If you live within Gloucestershire, we would come out to you to install a lock you have purchased elsewhere for £59 during a weekday or £70 in the daytime of a weekend.
We reserve the right to refuse to fit the lock if we believe it isn’t right for the job, and won’t charge you for the visit if that was ever the case.
We can give help and advice prior to purchasing a lock – and we carry a wide variety of locks on the van that you may purchase if desired.

Is a quotation free?2019-06-16T17:10:59+01:00

We provide free quotes anywhere within Gloucestershire.
We’re happy to provide no obligation quotes, giving you the freedom to compare our quote, ask us questions and read our reviews etc.
